Q: How do I know if my 7 Series DOES NOT have EDC?
A: Look at your original rear strut. If there is no cylindrical valve body on the side and no electrical wire harness, your car does not have EDC.
Q: Will this fit if I want to “delete” my EDC system?
A: While it is physically possible to install these, it will trigger “EDC Malfunction” errors on your dashboard unless the system is professionally deactivated via programming. For a standard repair, always match your car's original configuration.
Q: Why is this version cheaper than the EDC version?
A: Because it does not contain the expensive internal and external electromagnetic control valves required for active damping adjustment.
